In September 1991 GLC was established as the first leasing company in Ghana. Its objective was to facilitate the growing need for equipment and other capital goods necessitated by sustained growth in the economy. Over the past fifteen years GLC has leased to more than four hundred businesses. Our operating slogan is “First in Leasing, Best in Financing.” Not only does GLC lease office furniture and office equipment, we lease all types of equipment including industrial equipment, vehicles, construction equipment, communication equipment and medical equipment and computers. Lease amounts range from $5,000.00 to $50,000 to cover our SME clients and from $100,000 US$500,000.00 or its equivalent in local currency to meet the needs of our larger borrowers. GLC also enters into syndications with larger domestic and international lenders to facilitate leveraged leases running in millions of dollars or euros.
